On Sunday 15th May we presented a fabulous Fashion Show in Trinity Apse in Edinburgh.
This exciting and dynamic period fashion show consisted of 16th Century inspired outfits.
An introductory talk was followed by models appearing in eight fabulous historical costumes. Each costume was accompanied by period music and a talk about its design and construction.
Included were – a doublet and breeches for King James VI, a Beautiful Peacock Blue Silk ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ Gown , a Blue Velvet ‘Anne Boleyn’ Gown, an Orange Silk Tudor Masquerade Costume, a Pink Silk French dress, a Gold Silk Gown designed for Elizabeth I, Henry VIII dressed in full regalia and a Robe and Dress inspired by the outfit worn by Mary Queen of Scots for her execution at Fotheringay Castle.
(From Edinburgh Council) ‘We got tremendous feed-back. Everyone loved it’
“It was so good to meet you Julia and enjoy the fashion show in Edinburgh – We feel very inspired by the Tudor fashions we saw”
Hope you enjoy the video highlights and pictures of the Show as much as we enjoyed presenting it!
