Costume Display at Belsay Hall

Today I set up a display of my 16th Century inspired theatrical costumes in the beautiful library of Belsay Hall in Northumberland.

Costumes included a gown for Queen Elizabeth I, an outfit for King Henry VIII, a dress for Queen Anne Boleyn and a number of costumes for Mary Queen of Scots.

The display is accompanied by beautiful period music which provides a wonderful atmosphere.

After completing the display I posed in my Elizabeth I Gold Silk Gown for a number of photographers.  Pictures were taken inside Belsay’s entrance hall. The hall is an architectural masterpiece with fabulous pillars inspired by the temples of ancient Greece.

Photograph were also taken in  huge grounds – they are packed with an impressive array of shrubs and flowers and provided a superb historical backdrop for my gown.

The pictures are featured in the local press to publicise  the ‘Weekend of Costume’ at Belsay Hall.

An interesting and informative article about the events at Belsay Hall will be published in ‘The Journal’ newspaper on Saturday 30th July 2011.

My costume display finishes on Friday 5th August and is to be followed  by my Period Fashion Shows on Saturday 6th August and Sunday 7th August 2011.

They will be spectacular events -don’t miss them!

I would like to thank Jon and all the members of staff at Belsay today for all their help and hospitality – they were a pleasure to work with.
