Lectures/Talks

Lectures/Talks about 16th Century Costume.

Our fabulous costumes bring back history.

I am accompanied by my husband in full regalia as Henry VIII to present an entertaining and lively talk about the design and construction of my ‘16th Century Inspired Historical Costumes’.

This lecture is very popular with groups interested in history/fashion or students of Art and Design.

A mannequin can be supplied to display the corset/underwear separately.

Costumes available for the talks are an ‘Anne Boleyn’ style blue silk and gold damask gown – I have worn this costume on BBC television and also at Crook Hall in Durham.

Also included are gowns inspired by Mary Queen of Scots, a gold Elizabeth I Dress with ruff, a  James VI of Scotland Court Costume, an ornate  Orange Silk Masquerade Gown and a Pink Silk French style Dress inspired by the film ‘La Reine Margot’.

Each talk lasts about 45 minutes to an hour including a question and answer session.

If you would like to book any of the talks or have any queries or questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
