Tudors visit Tyneside

Last night we presented a Fashion Show as part of the combined festivities for the Jubilee Celebrations and Newcastle Fashion Week.

Our show was a splendid event located in the Bewick Suite which is in the amazing new Newcastle City Library.

We really enjoyed the presenting the show – it is our sixth event for Newcastle libraries.  It is our third fashion show and we have already presenting three costume displays.

Feedback we have received since the show is excellent – I am so pleased that everyone enjoyed it.

I would like to thank Kath and her team at library for all their help and support last night – they were superb.

I also want to thank my excellent team  – narrator Tracy, sound engineer Kevin, models Helen & Laura and not forgetting my husband Mick and son James who also wear costumes – you are a wonderful team.

Comments about our recent shows include-

Ayleigh who said– ‘ I was at your Tudor Fashion Show at Newcastle Library on Saturday.

I really enjoyed your show and I was blown away with your creations! They are absolutely stunning! I really wanted to take the pink dress home with me’!

Charlotte stated – ‘Hi, I was at your fashion show in Newcastle yesterday and just wanted to send a message to say it was fantastic! I hope I become as successful as you one day. The show was great and you have reminded me exactly why I want to go into costume design, Thank you!’

Keri said – ‘On my first visit to Belsay Hall with my husband, I was very pleasantly surprised to come across one of your Tudor Costume shows.  What beautiful costumes and models – they took my breath away. My husband also enjoyed your show. I do hope that I am privileged to see your costume shows again in the not too distant future’.

Jacqui wrote –  ‘Was Fab show Julia, had some fantastic feedback from various members of audience. Keep up the good work; and you looked stunning in Jane Seymour dress, it’s beautiful’.

Kath at Newcastle Library said ‘ We really enjoyed working with you- the show was fabulous and the feedback from members of the audience was overwhelmingly positive. I spoke to people as they left and they all found it fascinating- two ladies said it was the best Saturday night they’d ever had!’

Below is a gallery of photographs of the event  – some of the pictures were taken by local photograher Lee Scullion to help celebrate Newcastle Fashion Week. http://www.leescullion.com/

They include some pictures taken backstage which you may find interesting – hope you enjoy viewing them.

Wish I’d managed to get to the show – would have loved to have seen them in reality.

If I hadn’t been on holiday I would have come!

A really fabulous show – well worth watching – the blue Mary Queen of Scots Gown was my favourite although I loved them all!
